Do the 26 senators agree on one name for appointment as the CEO of PIA or each one of them wants his own man as the appointee?

PIA management should be contracted out to Sri Lankans or West Indians.

PIA managrment should be contracted to Burkina Faso or Senegal if the airline is to be retrieved from total end.

They need more money ....

Many people raise a question that why private businesses of rulers thrive but PIA and Steel Mill are making losses. Here is the answer. In their private businesses they have autonomy to take actions. No one challenges their decisions in the courts. Earlier appointment of Shujat Azeem was also challenged. Now these senators should take responsibility for rehabilitation of PIA.

Its not just the CEO, PIA need restructuring at grass root level before flying in the skies to prosper, if they are unable to do so perhaps they can appoint Ethiopian Airlines as their advisers to learn how it is done. Ethiopian Airline is a shining example o progress and prosperity, Ethiopia being amongst one of the poorest countries in the world has a fleet of 92 Aircrafts including the latest state of the art aircrafts such as Airbus A 350 ,Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Boeing 777, 737 800 series to name the few. Its so heart breaking to see, once as a world class carrier PIA has fallen to bits with no hope for recovery, as a flag carrier of our country PIA deserve a better management a complete overhaul is needed to keep our pride flying, not just the CEO, we have witnessed many CEOs in the past with the graph declining with every change over. may I know with due respect... what is done in our country "by the book"... what counts most is.... what elites and the corrupt officials like or choose..... The strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us but those who win battles we know nothing about as general public.

The government must stop meddling in PIA matters which should be allowed to operate professionally. Political appointments of party jiyalas has destroyed the national airline, which is criminal. People must be selected strictly on merit with relevant experience for those posts. PIA created Emirates providing aircraft, pilots, cabin crew and management. Emirates historic 'first' flight was EK600, Dubai to Karachi. Today Emirates is the world's best airline with over 300 aircraft. Perhaps Emirates can return the favor and help PIA regain its past excellence and glory.

Close down this airline. It has not done anything positive in the last at least 30 years. dirty planes, terrible food, unfriendly (and even rude) cabin crew, extremely poor scheduling are just for starters. I would never allow my family members to fly PIA on any International route.
