Famous personalities recreate Beyonce’s Formation look

Beyonce’s has been inundated with tributes by her famous friends on her 36th birthday in a very big way.

The personalities include former first lady Michelle Obama, Beyonce’s Destiny’s Child bandmates, tennis ace Serena Williams, Adele, as well as Beyonce’s mum Tina Knowles, the superstar’s five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and others all took part in a photo tribute where they dressed up like the superstar in her Formation video to mark her special day.

The images were posted on Beyonce’s website with the message: “Happy Birthday Beyonce, you’re your family and friends.” A video posted on the Music Choice Instagram page appeared to show Beyonce dancing along to the tribute.


Michael Jackson compilation album

A new compilation album featuring the music of late singer Michael Jackson will debut September 29.

The Scream collection will include such hits as “Thriller” and “Dirty Diana,” as well as “Blood on the Dance Floor X Dangerous,” a new mash-up of five songs remixed by The White Panda, according to Billboard. The project is the latest collaboration between Epic and Legacy, which are owned by Sony Music and Jackson’s estate. The companies will promote the album with celebrations in Paris, London, Sydney, Berlin, Los Angeles and Tokyo in the fall.

Sony Music said in a press release that Scream’s track list and release date were meant to coincide with Halloween. Scream will be available to stream and in CD format September 29, with a glow-in-the-dark vinyl to be released October 27.


Smith shares first cast photo from live-action Aladdin set

Want to see the cast of Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin? The Genie is here to grant your wish. Will Smith, the confirmed star set to play the beloved Genie in the upcoming adaptation, took to internet to give fans’ a first look at the film’s cast hard at work on the set.

In the words of the actor, “Here we go! We just started shooting Aladdin and I wanted to intro you guys to our new family… Mena Massoud/Aladdin, Naomi Scott/Princess Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari/Jafar, and I’m over here gettin my Genie on,” he captioned a group photo.

This marks the first time we’ve seen the entire squad together on the heels of Disney’s announcement that casting has been completed and filming is underway. With director Guy Ritchie at the helm, the film will also include new characters like Dalia, Princess Jasmine’s hand maiden and confidante (Nasim Pedrad) and Prince Anders, a suitor and potential husband for Princess Jasmine (Billy Magnussen).

In addition to new characters and new faces, the film will also have two new melodies.
