KARACHI: Pakistan seized a bronze in 6-Reds snooker when the reigning national champion Mohammad Sajjad was sent packing 3-5 by Chinese Yan Bingtao in the semi-final of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games at Ashgabat on Thursday.

According to results made available here, Sajjad, who is also the reigning Asian 6-Reds champion, bowed out by suffering defeat at the hands of young Chinese cueist 60-8, 32-21, 38-13, 0-37, 51-4, 22-32. 4-48, 41-11.

Earlier, he had sneaked into the last four by handing 5-3 defeat to Qatar’s Ali Alobaidli in the quarter-final the scores being 35-34, 6-45, 51-14, 8-51, 41-15, 45-0, 32-41, 51-0.

Meanwhile, Pakistan takes on Myanmar in the team event opening match on Friday.

The Pakistan’s team comprised Sajjad, Mohammad Bilal and Asjad Iqbal.
