LAHORE: An international workshop -- Data Science in Practice -- will be held at the Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT), New Campus, from Sept 20 to 24.

“This workshop is the first of its kind in Pakistan organised by PUCIT along with the Punjab Higher Education Commission. Its focus is on hands-on training and motivational speeches,” PUCIT Principal Dr Mansoor Sarwar said.

He said the workshop would comprise 40 hours of lectures on data science technologies, tools and frameworks and hand-on training sessions in data analytics with Python, machine learning in practice, data science at scale, and advanced technique in data science.

Analytics will be performed on world data from industrial case studies.
