QUETTA: Heirs of slain traffic warden Haji Attaullah on Monday demanded that the murder trial of MPA Majeed Achakzai be held in Islamabad due to security concerns.

Talking to reporters outside the sessions court here, Haji Saifullah — the late traffic warden’s brother — said that there was a serious threat to his family’s lives and so the case should be transferred to Islamabad for impartial trial.

Haji Saifullah rejected the claim that his brother died in a road accident and argued that it was an open-and-shut murder case as the accused ran his car over the traffic sergeant deliberately.
