KARACHI, Jan 5: A two-day exhibition on information technology, titled “IT — The Future of Pakistan”, will open at the Expo Centre on Monday, says a press release.

More than 100 exhibitors, including some leading players of the local infotech scene, are taking part in the IT show.

The exhibition focuses on two sectors, information technology and education.

The organizations taking part in the exhibition include financial institutions, agencies marketing hardware and software, Internet service providers, educational institutions, manufacturers and dealers of hardware, software houses and consultants, e-commerce solutions suppliers, communications and networking vendors, telecommunications majors and venture capitalists.

The exhibition is designed to attract students and the business community providing a strong medium for accessing state-of-the art technologies and products in the IT sector. The exhibition will highlight key technologies and trends in the areas of hardware, system integration telecoms, software and services, the Internet, e-commerce, e-governance, broadcasting, entertainment, infrastructure and education through its extensive display pavilions. The IT show is aimed at providing individuals and the participating companies meaningful insights and exchanging first-hand information in the field of IT and education.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 1.30pm.
