KARACHI: Neighbourhood Club trounced Bahria College 22-8 to earn a place in the last four of the Sindh Sports Board (SSB) girls basketball tournament at the PECHS Girls College on Sunday.

Nazia starred for the winners with a tally of 10 points. She was assisted by Hana and Maheen who contributed four points apiece. Anosha scored five points for the losers.

Joining Neighbourhood Club in the last four stage were S.M.B Fatima College, PECHS Girls College and Bahria College.

S.M.B Fatima College had mixed fortunes winning one and losing one game. They defeated Government College for Women’s Shahra-e-Liaquat 10-0 with Nazia scoring eight points.

In the next match, they suffered 17-25 loss at the hands of the PECHS Girls College.

Laila Khan shone for the PECHS College with 12 points and was ably assisted by Atiqa eight and Huraina five. Nazia and Hafsa scored nine and eight points respectively for the losers.

In the last match, Government College for Women’s Shahra-e-Liaquat bounced back to thump Karachi College 28-20 points.

Sana 10, Ghanza eight and Kaniza six stole the limelight for the winners while Seema scored eight points for the losers.

Monday’s fixtures: Neighbourhood Club v S.M.B Fatima College at 2.30pm; PECHS Girls College v Bahria College at 3.30pm.
