KARACHI, Aug 19: Volunteers of the Edhi Foundation continued removing sea species, including fish, turtles and snakes, lying dead at the 4km-long coast because of spilled crude oil from the grounded oil tanker Tasman Spirit.

Three truck loads of dead species have been removed from the beach during the last two days. Unbearable odour from these species is polluting the environment in the coastal areas.

While collecting the perished marine species, an Edhi volunteer fainted at the beach. He was rushed to Jinnah Hospital in ambulance.—APP
