KARACHI, Aug 18: Sialkot dominated the opening day of their three-day PCB Under-19 Inter-region cricket championship game after bowling out Karachi for 161 at Quaid-i-Azam Cricket Park on Monday.

By close of play, the visitors had already taken first innings lead by making 171 for six.

Karachi lost advantage after having elected to bat first, losing eight wickets for 63 runs. Off-spinner Tariq Mahmood caused the collapse with startling figures of six for 30 in 23.2 overs.

Our Sports Correspondent adds from Lahore: Leg-spinner Azhar Ali took five for 45 to help Lahore bundle out Faisalabad for  168 in their first innings at Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad according to details made available.

At stumps, Lahore were 65 for three.

In another match, Quetta were bowled out for 103 against Multan at the Multan Stadium.

The home team in their first innings were at 200 for eight at stumps.
