LAHORE: At a time when the provincial capital will be in political frenzy due to by-poll in NA-120, the governor has summoned the Punjab Assembly session on Monday (Sept 11).

A formal notification to the effect was issued by the Assembly Secretariat here on Tuesday.

The 31st session of the house will be chaired by Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal.

According to the parliamentary calendar, the 10-day session was to be convened on Aug 2. The governor, however, summoned the session to be started on Aug 9 but the orders were withdrawn a day before the sitting of the house was to be held.
