KARACHI, Aug 17: Bandits took away 114 vehicles, including 54 cars and 60 motorcycles, during the last one week in various parts of the city.

According to the police statistics, 21 cars were taken away at gunpoint by the bandits and 33 others were stolen in Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Johar, Gulberg, Clifton, Jamshed Quarters, etc.

Out of 60 motorcycles, 24 were taken away at gun point and 36 motorcycles were stolen in Gulberg, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas.

However, police claimed recovery of 85 vehicles during the last one week.

FIRE: A big fire broke in a garment factory in Landhi on Sunday.

The spokesman for the fire department said that nine fire tenders were working to extinguish the fire.

Till filing of this report, fire fighting operation was in progress, however, cause of the fire and extent of the damage could not be ascertained.
