KARACHI, Aug 17: The Housing Project Zone of the House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC) has started a campaign to inform general public about its two new schemes of housing finance.

As a part of the campaign, a camp was set up at Jauhar Chowrangi in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Sunday, under the supervision of General Manager Operations Mujahid Zamir and Chief Manager HPZ Naseem Akhtar Qureshi.

A large number of people particularly ladies visited the HBFC camp and inquired about the schemes. Complete details and procedures about the new schemes — ‘Ghar Aasan’ and ‘Shandar Ghar’ — were provided to the visitors in addition to the information regarding their existing loan accounts and the recovery of outstanding HBFC loans.

It was informed that loan up to five million rupees is provided under the HBFC’s ‘Ghar Aasan’ scheme for construction or purchase of house or flat.

Under the ‘Shandar Ghar’ scheme, loans up to Rs500,000 are provided on easy terms for repair and improvement of houses and flats, which also include plaster, addition, alteration, beautification of kitchen, geyser, etc.

For those individuals, who had previously availed the HBFC loan and repaying the instalments regularly, loan under the scheme will be disbursed at one per cent reduced rate.—APP
