KARACHI, Aug 17: Sindh Chief Secretary Dr Mutawakil Kazi has ordered immediate implementation of schemes for construction of roads in Korangi and Lyari areas.

Responding to the complaints of various town Nazims with reference to the recent rains, he said that the works and services department had been issued necessary directives to complete the repair of the roads.

He also ordered implementation of the orders to repair and construct the damaged roads in Lyari including that in Agra Taj Colony and Baghdadi, where the traffic congestion had been a big problem.

The chief secretary also ordered complete repair of works on old Truck Stand on Mauripur Road, where the traffic jams was a daily routine.

JAMSHED TOWN: The chief secretary has also taken cognizance of non-payment of the salaries to the employees of town municipal administration of Jamshed Town.

According to a statement issued here on Sunday, the chief secretary ordered payment of the salaries and asked the authorities to submit a report in this regard.—APP
