NAWAZ Sharif has presented his case before the ‘people’s court’. He still maintains he is innocent and has done nothing wrong. Every criminal says the same thing. This is a standard line of corrupt politicians.

He blames five men for sending him back home. He thinks this is a conspiracy against him, and maligns the judiciary and the military establishment.

He is building up a dangerous narrative. Confrontation with the establishment and the judiciary will get him nowhere. It is just a suicidal move.

He should not have planned his road show and gone home for the last time.

References against his entire family are ready and to be opened soon. He should think about hiring defence lawyers who are able and skillful to get him some relief there.

His party is going to disintegrate and ditch him to survive. Some of his confidantes have already left him. He should realise that he has been removed on the basis of massive corruption. If he is innocent then every criminal in Pakistan is innocent too.
