MIRPURKHAS: Police on Friday found the body of a 19-year-old woman who was allegedly kidnapped 13 days ago from Faqeer Mohammad Kamboh village near Naokot town, 91km from here.

The girl’s father Paryal Kapri lodged an FIR at Naokot police station on Aug 5 accusing Nawaz Kapri, Ameero Kapri, Lal Kapri, Hassan Kapri, Moula Bux Kapri, Satho Kapri, Aziz Kapri and an unknown person of kidnapping his daughter three days before her marriage.

Police received a tip-off and raided a place owned by one of the suspects, Ameero, near Gogh Mori in Jhuddo taluka on Friday morning and found the body of Ms Jamiat Kapri with a canola inserted into a vein in her hand.

The body was brought to Jhuddo rural health centre where lady doctor Ms Padma conducted post-mortem on the body and then handed it over to heirs.

Dr Padma told journalists that there was no torture mark on the girl’s body but a final autopsy report would confirm her cause of death.

Police carried out raids on a number of villages of Kapri clansmen after recovery of the body and detained six suspects nominated in the FIR including the chief suspect Ameero, who claimed that the girl had left her home on her own free will and married Hassan Kapri.

The girl’s family has rejected their claim.
