PESHAWAR: Peshawar Whites stunned a strong Kohat side 2-1 in the opening match of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-District Football Championship, which kicked off here at the Qayyum Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Kohat took the lead in the seventh minute when winger Amir went past two defenders and the goalkeeper before scoring with Peshawar Whites levelling matters in similar style through Afaq early in the second half.

The winner came in the 66th when Taimur was found in space from the left by Abid and he made no mistake in putting the ball in the back of the net.
