4 picnickers drown in Indus

SWABI, Aug 15: Four picnickers drowned in the Indus river near Kund park and one was rescued on Thursday.

Eyewitnesses said the picnickers were bathing in the river when the water overpowered them.

Naz Ali, son of Johar Ali, resident of Yar Hussain was rescued while four drowned.

In the evening, the body of Haleem, son of Gohar Ali, was recovered.

Those who drowned belonged to Mardan and Nowshera.
