Basit, Muqadas clinch U-19 titles

LAHORE, Aug 13: Basit Ashfaq and Muqadas Ashraf won the boys and girls’ title in the Azadi Squash Championship at the Punjab Squash Complex on Wednesday.

Results:

Under-19 boys: Basit bt Haider Jamal 10-9, 9-7, 8-10, 10-8.

Under-19 girls: Muqadas bt Alia Sarfraz 9-5, 10-8, 6-9, 1-9, 9-2.

Under-16 boys: Shoaib Hassan bt Adnan Khan 9-5, 10-8.

Under-16 girls: Roshina Mahboob bt Beenish Khan 10-9, 9-7, 9-5.

Volleyball: Tigers Club beat Mozang Club in straight set to win the Independence Day volleyball tournament at the Iqbal Parks Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Tigers romped home with the score of 25-18, 25-20, 25- 14.

Taekwondo: A taekwondo event will be organised at the Awan Hall here on Sunday to celebrate the Independence Day. In all, 200 players will take part in the event.
