ISLAMABAD, Aug 13: Former prime minister and chief of his own faction of PML Nawaz Sharif said there was no contribution of army generals in the creation of Pakistan.

In a message on the country’s Independence Day from Jeddah and released by the party’s media office here on Wednesday, the PML-N Quaid regretted that when Muslim League leaders and workers were offering sacrifices, the salaried military employees were serving colonial interests.

He said the Quaid-i-Azam wished that every government servant should perform his duties according to the constitution while elected representatives should build the nation.
