Former Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) member and MNA Ayesha Gulalai said on Saturday that she will "forgive" PTI Chairman Imran Khan "if he accepts his mistake" and apologises for sending her unsolicited text messages that she says caused her considerable mental distress.
"If Imran Khan accepts that he has done it [harassed Gulalai] and seeks forgiveness from God, the nation and its women, I will forgive him," Gulalai said in a phone call with DawnNews.
Earlier this week, Gulalai had made the shock announcement that she was quitting the PTI, levelling a series of scathing allegations against Khan and his "gang", including that they used to send inappropriate text messages to female members of the party.
Gulalai's allegations caused a furore among party members and deepened an existing rift with the ruling PML-N, with PTI accusing their arch rivals of masterminding a ploy to malign their party chief.
The ruling PML-N, as well as the PPP, backed Gulalai’s allegations against Khan and called for an investigation into the matter.
The National Assembly on Friday subsequently passed a motion calling for the formation of a special committee to investigate the allegations against Imran Khan and ordering it to submit a report on the matter within a month.
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also assured the provision of round-the-clock security for the MNA after she claimed on television that she was "scared for her life".

Ms. Gulalai, he is innocent until proven guilty. Frankly speaking, your timing does not help your case given the current political landscape. If an impartial investigation into the matter reveals that Imran did something, then and only then he should apologize.

Imran Khan is a heartbeat of millions of Pakistani. We trust him without any doubt and the allegations leveled by this lady are nothing but a effort to achieve cheap fame. I am sure Imran Khan will never apologize to this lady and she will come to know her value once she is off-the-screen.

No Gulalai. You should now be courageous enough to come forward and admit, that you were instigated by the Khan's political opponents for leveling these allegations. And tender your apology to Khan and nations and return back to PTI. In fact N-league is not a political party, rather a group of g-butts. You will not have any respect there.

Her allegations are false if there is no proper evidence . She was not an oppressed employee but an independent MNA to address it few years back if it ever happened . People should not ask IK for response but enquire her to ascertain her claims.

@sandhu dear sandhu i tink you donot know that Hamid mir has said in a tv program that she showed these messages from imran khan to him and these messages back her allegation. i simply dont know why IK and PTI running away from investigation if they are not guilty..they shud follow the same criteria that they asked PMLN to follow.

Gulalai be brave and never be harassed by men . Men who harass need to be taught a lesson now for good .in times when women are engineers, nuclear scientists , pilots and so much more why cant they be successful politicins . Why should they stay back just because men want to rule this field and sexually harass them . This will not be acceptable we want a change in our society we want a new and better pakistan not imran khans so called changed pak where women are harassed.

Imran Khan should immediately resign as party head as these are very serious allegations on his character.
He can return if he is declared clean by the Supreme Court fulfilling requirements as per article 62 and 63.

She yet has to prove harassment. according to hamid mir, IK sent her text that she should get married so people do not say things about her as she is outgoing. when she took her father to him, IK said, their age difference was too much. IK gave her a brotherly advice but that does not mean he give her favoritism or harassment.

@Abaid We are not blindly taking side with IK. Watch this lady on TV channels and see how many times she had changed her stance. The messages she shown to HM doesn't validate these messages are authentic and originated from IK. This has to be proved by the forensic experts. It is not rocket science to send fake messages. Also IK is not running away from the investigation, rather he welcomed the inquiry, it's now Ayesha who is running away.
