Relief goods distributed in Kachho

DADU, Aug 12: The district administration, Dadu, distributed relief packets of Ghee, flour, rice, pulses, sugar, soap, salt, tea, and match boxes among 8,946 rain-affected families in the Kachho, Kohistan and hilly areas of the district.

The district coordination officer, Aijaz Ahmed Mangi, said this while speaking to the rain-affected people at the relief camp situated at RD-50 of the flood protective bund on Tuesday.

He said that the district government had received an amount of Rs2.5 million from the relief commissioner and distribution of relief goods was going on.

LUMHS: The vice-chancellor, Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro, Prof Jan Mohammad A. Memon, has said that the buildings of girls’ hostel, medical research laboratory, boys and girls’ canteen, girls’ common room, new administrative block, two big shopping centres — one at the Jamshoro railway crossing and another outside the university campus — had been constructed.
