SHO suspended

MARDAN, Aug 12: The district police officer (DPO) has suspended the station house officer (SHO) of city police station following his involvement in providing special treatment to an outlaw of Hoti area.

DPO Liaquat Ali Khan on Monday suspended from service SHO Zarif Khan who was found giving VIP treatment to an outlaw, Jabbar, at the police station.

Jabbar is stated to be involved in a number of criminal cases and he was arrested from the tehsil municipal administration offices recently.

The city police lodged an FIR against Jabbar under sections 506 and 107, but the SHO provided him special treatment for unknown reasons.

During a visit to the police station, the DPO found the SHOP giving special treatment to the outlaw. He sent Jabbar to the lock-up and suspended from service the SHO.
