THIS is apropos the three letters (July 25) on the above-mentioned topic. These letters plus several others appearing in different newspapers are a reflection of where the public stands on the issue.
The minions of the federal and Punjab governments are pursuing a narrative where they paint their leader as being holier than the Pope. Why are ministers and officials using all their energies and time to protect one leader and his immediate family when the petition is against an individual and not an elected government?
Meanwhile it is the poor of this country who are paying the price as their problems recede to the backburner. Does any of this bother the conscience of our parliamentarians?
