PESHAWAR: Vice-president of the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Qamar Zaman believes the country is brimming with new talent as the national junior squad left for Japan on Monday to compete in the Japan Open Junior Squash Championship.

Qamar expressed this view while seeing off the national squad that left for Japan to participate in the event being staged in Yokohama from July 25-28.

The five-member team, which is under the supervision of coach Wazir Khan, includes Khushhal Riaz Khan, Uzair Shaukat, Rashid Dolat, Bilal Ahmed Khan and Asadullah Khan.

Qamar said the PSF under the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman and Air Vice Marshal Shahid Alvi was working for the promotion of squash in the country.

“The participation of international players in the national event [held recently in the country] is a good omen for the future of squash in Pakistan,” he added.
