TIMERGARA: The Awami National Party spokesman and former senator Zahid Khan on Saturday asked all parties to the Panama case to avoid speculations and accept the Supreme Court verdict, expected in next few days.

Talking to mediapersons at his residence in Odigram, he said that the whole nation had fixed eyes on the apex court that had reserved its verdict in the Panama Papers case.

He said that the country could no more afford undemocratic practices.

He said that the ANP considered corruption and plundering national wealth bigger menace than terrorism. He said that there should be fair accountability of all politicians involved in corruption cases.

The ANP leader said that PTI chief Imran Khan and JI chief Sirajul Haq were not angels as there had been corruption charges against their ministers.

He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission had been locked as the rulers were not sincere in accountability.

Zahid Khan accused the JI lawmakers of recruiting their blue-eyed people in government departments in Dir.

He also alleged embezzlement in the Koto hydropower project, billion tree tsunami project and Sehat Insaf Card programme of the provincial government.

Speaking at another function at Dhanda Rabat, the ANP spokesman said that PTI-led government had been inaugurating development projects initiated by his party’s previous government.

On this occasion, scores of workers of other parties, including Inayatul Haq and Taj Anwar, announced to join ANP. Zahid Khan said that it was the ANP that got approved the reconstruction of Chakdara-Timergara road and other projects for Dir.

HAJJ TRAINING: Pakistan Haj Training Council’s central chairman Haji Mohammad Hayat on Saturday urged the intending Hajis to pray for the betterment of the country and Muslim Ummah during their stay in Makkah and Madina this year.

He was addressing the participants of a daylong Haj training programme arranged by Olasi Khair Khegara Tanzeem at Chakdara. The intending pilgrims from Adenzai attended the training during which they were briefed about wearing ‘Ihram’, recitation of ‘Talbiya’, making ‘Tawaf’, stay at Mina, Muzdalifa and Arafat, etc.
