ISLAMABAD, Aug 10: The National Judicial (Policy-Making) Committee will meet on Monday to review the ongoing reforms initiated with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank.

The meeting would review, among other things, increase in the salary of judges and staff of the subordinate courts and proposal for offering incentives for induction of women in the judicial service Chief Justice Sheikh Riaz Ahmed will chair the meeting.

The committee will consider the proposal for offering incentives for induction of women in the judicial services and ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of the Access-to-Justice Programme and installation of automation plan for judicial institutions.

The meeting will be attended by Justice Mohammad Nawaz Abbasi, Principal Secretary, Minister of Law & Justice; Justice Ejaz Yousaf, Chief Justice, Federal Shariat Court; Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhhad, Chief Justice, High Court of Sindh; Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Chief Justice, High Court of Balochistan; Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Chief Justice, Peshawar High Court, Justice Iftikhar Hussain Chaudhry, Chief Justice, Lahore High Court and Dr Faqir Hussain, Secretary of the National Judicial Policy Making Committee.
