First bowling tournament from today

KARACHI, Aug 9: Over 70 players have confirmed their participation in the first All-Pakistan Bowling Association (APBA) Championship - to be held at the Royal Rodale Sports Complex from Aug 10-14.

Karachi-based APBA was formed recently with an aim to promote the neglected sport of bowling all over Pakistan.

The body was set to join the Asian Bowling Federation as one of its affiliated member soon and would apply for the full memebership.

Apart from various other objectives the association intends to achieve by the end of this year, was representing Pakistan at the international bowling events.—PPI
