KARACHI: Haseem Khan and Imran Khan struck two goals apiece as AO Club carved out 5-3 victory over T & T Club in the opening match of the Baldia Town Invitation Inter-club hockey tournament at Baldia hockey stadium on Friday.

Zohib completed the tally for the winning outfit.

Mudassir, Intizar and Asim scored one goal each for the losers.

In another match, hosts Baldia Hockey Club edged Rana Hockey Club 4-1.

Rashid, Bilal, hamza and Shahbaz netted once for the winners while Nazakat scored the consolation goal for the losers.

This is the first time that hockey activities have started at Baldia ground under the aegis of the Karachi Hockey Association. The matches will be played on weekend as the venue is located in outskirts near hub. Former Olympian Hanif Khan inaugurated the tournament in which six clubs are participating.'
