ISLAMABAD: Emigration rules amended

ISLAMABAD, Aug 9: The federal government under section 16 of the Emigration Ordinance, 1979 (XVIII of 1979), has directed that the following further amendment shall be made in the Emigration Rules, 1979, namely:-

In the aforesaid rules, in rule 15, for sub-rule (I) the following shall be substituted namely:-

“(I) A person selected for employment abroad by an overseas employment promoter or the corporation shall deposit a sum of Rs4,450 in case of monthly salary up to $1,200 or equivalent to it in any other currency, and Rs10,000 in case of monthly salary equal to $1,201 or equivalent to it in any other currency, with a branch of a bank which shall issue a certificate in the form as set out in Form 7”.
