PORT-OF-SPAIN: Rain stopped play with India at 189 for three off 38 overs batting first against the West Indies in the first fixture of the five-match One-day International series at the Queen’s Park Oval here on Friday.

India had got off to a flying start with openers Shikhar Dhawan making 87 and Ajinkya Rahane hitting 62. Skipper Virat Kohli (30 not out) and MS Dhoni (two not out) were the batsmen at the crease when the action was halted.
