KARACHI: Adil Amin starred with an all-round show as Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) whipped Omar Associates by five wickets to enter the final of the sixth Cola Next presents Jazz Corporate Cup final here on Wednesday night.

In a low-scoring first semi-final at the DHA Sports Club Moin Khan Academy, Omar Associates mustered a disappointing 106 all out in 19 overs with discarded Pakistan opener Khurram Manzoor scoring 33 (29 balls, four fours and one six) and Danish Aziz run-a-ball 21.

Adil’s occasional off-spin proved lethal as he captured four wickets for 15 runs in three overs, while regular spinners Mohammad Irfan (3-29) and Zafar Gohar (2-21) shared five wickets between them.

SSGC were anchored to victory by an intelligent knock from another Pakistan discard Umar Amin, who disdainfully pulled left-arm spinner Fawad Khan to seal victory.

Umar’s 42-ball 52 also contained four more sixes and two fours but it was his unrelated namesake Adil who was adjudged man-of-the-match.

Summarised scores:

OMAR ASSOCIATES 106 in 19 overs (Khurram Manzoor 33, Danish Aziz 21, Saad Nasim 18; Adil Amin 4-15, Mohammad Irfan 3-29, Zafar Gohar 2-21); SSGC 110-5 in 17.4 overs (Umar Amin 52 not out, Adil Amin 17; Rumman Raees Khan 2-14).
