ALTHOUGH we have reconciled with the general shortage of water in Karachi, the unethical and irresponsible conduct of the Cantonment Board, Clifton (CBC) staff has crossed all acceptable limits. First, residents paying 100pc water charges have been forced to accept, without any question, the reduced water supply -- once in a fortnight.

On the scheduled water supply day the SDO and his staff falsely declare that they have supplied water without actually supplying it.

The CBC authorities have also stopped attending to residents’ telephone calls. Several complaints were registered by me at the CBC website user portal but to no avail.

May I request the CBC authorities and the station commander to kindly ensure justice to taxpayers who pay complete and timely water charges to the CBC.
