India looking for new envoy in US

WASHINGTON, Aug 7: India is said to be looking for a new ambassador in Washington as the current envoy completes his three-year term in March.

India’s foreign secretary Kanwal Sibal appears so far to be the frontrunner for the post.

Current ambassador Lalit Mansingh has already started looking for a new job in India and the Indian community in Washington says that he expects to get a seat in the upper house of the Indian parliament.
