KARACHI, Oct 13: The Sindh National Front chairman Mumtaz Ali Bhutto has said the government must prevail upon the US-led coalition not to bomb cities in Afghanistan where innocent civilians are being killed.

The American coalition has ganged up against a small, poor and destroyed country like Afghanistan over which the claim of air supremacy is meaningless as the country is totally defenceless, Mr Bhutto said in a statement on Saturday.

“It makes no sense to kill people indiscriminately in the name of crushing the terrorists,” he said, adding that the Americans should have justified its action by making public the proof of terrorism.

He described the war against Afghanistan as unjustified and stressed that it should be stopped forthwith, because, he said, it will only lead to more killings without solving any problem.

“Terrorism can only be eliminated by justice and fair play in world affairs,” he added.—PPI
