Special court refuses to hear case

OKARA, Oct 3: The special court of speedy trial, Lahore, on Wednesday refused to hear the case of two accused who had strangled seven family members a few days ago in Kot Sher Khan village, Basirpur.

The judge said the case was out of the jurisdiction of the speedy trial court, Lahore.

STRIKE: Teachers across Okara district on Wednesday observed a strike in protest against the murder of Lahore BISE chairman Prof Dr Yaqoob.

The Government Degree College principal along with his staff offered fateha for the late Dr Yaqoob.

LOOTED: Four armed men on Wednesday looted the staff of the Idara Ganj Shakar for Special Education (Blinds) and took away computers and valuables from the campus on the Faisalabad Road near Basti Rehmatpur.

Bandits took away Rs23,000 in cash, wristwatches, ornaments worth Rs38,000, computers and its accessories.
