MUZAFFARGARH: A court granted bail to Awami Raj Party chairman MNA Jamshed Dasti in a murder case here on Thursday.

Additional Sessions Judge Rashid Anjum approved his bail and ordered him to submit surety bonds of Rs200,000.

Jamshed Dasti was nominated as a co-accused in 2015 murder case, registered with the City Police Station Muzaffargarh. He has been bailed out in three different cases by different courts.

Meanwhile, Anti-Terrorism Court DG Khan Judge Shakir Hassan rejected the plea of police seeking further physical remand of Dasti. The court adjourned the hearing until June 19.

The MNA was not sent to Islamabad. Earlier, it was reported that he had been asked to visit the assembly on the call of the National Assembly speaker.
