KARACHI, Aug 5: Sindh Minister for Information Technology, Yaqoob Ilyas, has said that the government has planned to establish an IT complex in the metropolis, for which suitable place was being selected.

He informed that important offices and centres, besides training institutes would be set up in the complex and the masses would be provided one-window facility there.

The minister was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Online Khabarnama in PMA House on Tuesday.

He said that there was an increasing trend to read news online due to availability of computer and internet facility in almost every house. There were hundreds of thousands of websites in other languages, but a very few in Urdu language, he remarked.

“In this perspective, the E-Khabarnama.com is a good addition, which has been designed exclusively for news in Urdu language. The efforts of the team of E-Khabarnama.com should be lauded as the website would benefit millions of Urdu readers,” he observed.

He said that the team’s future plans, including provision of notes to students, preparation of medical directory and Pakistani Community Access Point, were also commendable. Later, Mr Zakariya Sajid, Mr Qasar Sajjad and Mr A.K. Mohsin also spoke on the occasion.—PPI/APP
