Man killed by Indian shelling

MUZAFFARABAD, Aug 4: A man was killed and four others were wounded in shelling by Indian troops on Sunday night, police said on Monday.

The casualties occurred, the police said, in different villages of Nakyal sector.

He said that 25-year-old Mohammad Arif died in the Gormeera village after being hit by shrapnel of a mortar shell while a 12-year old boy, Asim, was injured in the same village.

Rehmat Jan, 40, Zobaida Begum, 25, and Azima Bibi, were injured in nearby villages.—Staff Correspondent
