TRAFFIC jams in Karachi are a daily affair, especialy around Saddar and M.A. Jinnah Road. These jams become an everyday menace, when there are traffic jams cause physical and psychological tensions, leading to blood pressure, frustration and anger. Lanes and bylanes are overcrowded and choked with vehicles.

However, the road which goes from the Saddar parking plaza towards Burns Road is extraordinarily jammed daily. There are many reasons for this congestion: real culprits are pushcart vendors who have illegally occupied almost half of the road.

Besides parking plazas we should have shopping plazas for these kind of vendors. This will greatly help streamline the traffic situation.

Regulisation of traffic on a scientific basis would make this city stand in line with developed cities of the world.
