KARACHI, Aug 3: Teams of Karachi Building Control Authority demolished illegal constructions in Defence View and North Nazimabad areas.
A KBCA team demolished walls and shed of a house situated at Plot No. B-44 in Phase-I of Defence View. The same team also razed shutters and RCC columns built illegally on Plot No. F-1 in Phase-II of Defence View.
In the same area, illegally constructed walls of first floor and windows at ‘compulsory open space’ were demolished. Walls and windows of the first floor of Plot No. E-4 were also demolished in the same area.
The demolition operations were monitored by the Deputy Controller Nadeem and Asst Controller Mahmood Ali.
Another team of KBCA razed first and second floors of a building constructed on Plot No. D-15 in Block-A of North Nazimabad, Scheme-II. Columns erected on compulsory open space were also demolished in the same area. The operations was monitored by the KBCA officers, while the police were also present during the operation.
A team demolished an illegally built wedding hall on Plot No. 1 in Sector-I/16 of Orangi Town and a workshop on Plot No. R-77, Sector-13-D/3 Baloch Goth, Gulshan-i-Iqbal. The KBCA police were also present to check any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, the KBCA has suspended the no-objection certificate (NOC) for advertisement and sale of Muhammadi Classic project. The KBCA authorities has also asked people not to make any deal in the project.
DONATION: The employees from grade 2 to 21 of the KBCA have announced to donate their one-day salary to the Sindh Relief Fund.
According to a press release issued on Saturday, the chief controller of the KBCA, in view of the recent rains, has allocated an amount of Rs200,000 for disbursement among those, grade 1 to 10, employees whose houses had been damaged due to recent rains in the city.—PPI/APP
