Tamil issue

MIGRANT Tamils have the right to live in peace and harmony in Sri Lanka. History is a clear indication of Sri Lanka’s step-motherly treatment of ethnic Tamils.

It may be recalled that many civilians had fled the war zone and started migrating as refugees to the southern parts of India. And such an exodus may lead to a big humanitarian crisis.

The Sri Lankan government should take urgent steps to prevent the looming crisis in the region. Besides, work on the rehabilitation of the displaced should be completed at the earliest.
