PESHAWAR, Aug 2: Muttahida Majlis-i-Ammal’s secretary-general Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said that all available resources would be utilized for the development and prosperity of the Tank district.

He was speaking at a meeting held at the DCO office in Tank to review arrangements for the visit of Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani on Aug 5, said an official statement issued here on Saturday.

The Muttahida Majlis-i-Ammal leader said that efforts would be made to get sufficient funds for the resolution of people’s problems in Tank.

The meeting also discussed the shortage of schools and upgradation of the existing ones, establishment of girls degree college, posting of science teachers and provision of necessary equipment in various schools, construction of roads and bridges, construction of flood protection aprons around the Tank city, provision of bulldozers for agriculture and irrigation purposes.

The meeting also reviewed the present situation of implementation of the development schemes announced by the NWFP chief minister during his last visit to Tank.

Those who attended the meeting included MNA Maulana Attaur Rehman, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, MMA leaders of district Tank, Maulana Aasamuddin, Maulana Sharifuddin, DCO Asmatullah Khan Gandapur and EDOs of all departments.

Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman inaugurated the construction work on the 18-kilometre-long Tank circular road and other link roads.The road project would cost Rs45 million.
