KARACHI: Legendary cricketer and former Pakistan cricket coach Javed Miandad fired back at PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan on Thursday for his remarks about legendary players not being good coaches and said that the PCB chief knew nothing about the game and was a liar.

“If you want to inquire about my performance, ask Mushtaq Ahmed, Moin Khan, Inzamam and Wasim Akram,” he said. “I told Mr Shaharyar that your players are involved in match-fixing and he rubbished me,” said Miandad.

Former Pakistan opening batsman Aamir Sohail also lashed out at the PCB chief and said his own performance was not up to the mark and he had no business pointing fingers at Miandad. “Shaharyar and company are leading Pakistan cricket towards destruction,” said Aamir.

“If all former cricketers unite and form a body, the PCB will not be able to do any injustice to any retired cricketer,” he said.
