UAE to play in Karachi

KARACHI, July 31: United Arab Emirates (UAE) Junior team which is due arrive here on Aug 5 on an 11-day tour of Pakistan will play three matches against local schools.

Director Southern Regional, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Muhammad Shafique who is coordinating the tour said on Thursday that former Olympian Iftikhar Syed will be imparting training to UAE youngsters during their stay in Karachi.

UAE Junior team will play matches against Railways school, St.Pats and Habib Public School on Aug 8, 9 and 11.

The matches will be played at UBL Sports Complex Astroturf and Zamzama Hockey Stadium.

UAE Hockey Committee has arranged the tour with support from PHF.—APP
