Combined Asian Youth team

KARACHI, July 31: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Thursday named a 15-member Under-19 Youth Asian squad to tour a Test-playing nation from Nov 1 to 15.

Shakti Gauchan, who led Nepal to Asian Youth Cup title, has been named captain of the combined Asian squad.

The squad was picked on the basis of performance in the just concluded World Cup qualifiers.

The full squad: Shakti Gauchan (captain), Kanishka Chaugai, Sharad Veswakar, Manoj Katuwal and Manjeet Shrestha (all from Nepal), S. Vickneswaran, Eszrafiq bin Aziz (Malaysia), Adnan Ilyas and Imran Younis (Oman), Ali Talib, Saim Shibli and Waqas Jamil (Kuwait), Maxim Mok (Singapore), Leon Glen Carlo (UAE) and Mohammad Imran (Qatar).

The standbyes are: Lakpa Lama (Nepal), Zeeshan Raza and Ronald Joseph (Singapore).—APP
