At least eight Iranian border guards were killed in clashes with armed rebels Wednesday on the frontier with Pakistan, Iranian state television IRIB said on its website.

It said the clashes broke out in the Mirjaveh region of Sistan-Baluchistan province, without giving details.

Four border guards were killed in July 2016 in the border region with Pakistan.

Iranian media reports that the Jaish al-Adl militant group, accused by Tehran of links to Al Qaeda, carries out regular attacks in Sistan-Baluchistan.

If Pakistan ignores it's Iranian border, enemies will cause havoc to make Iran and Pakistan fight.

Iran has every legal right to punish these terrorists who are funded and supported by certain Middle East countries.Govt of Pakistans should immediately intervene and stop these foreign agents to cause damage to Iran-Pakistan relationship. There is no way Pakistan can afford Iranian border clashes.

@vic Before accusing the Taliban make investigations please and do not forget, that there are many jadhaw like personalities in the Iran and it is them who are fanning negative perceptions in people against state and forcing them to do these kinds of acts. Also, the real Taliban (who were headed by Mullah Omar) never attacked even the minorities needlessly.
