FAISALABAD: The Ministry of Water and Power has appointed Nizamuddin Marwat, general manager operations, Faisalabad Electric Supply Company, as acting head of the company.

A notification in this regard was issued on Monday.

The seat of Fesco chief executive officer (CEO) has been vacant for a couple of days following the retirement of Rashid Aslam, who attained the age of superannuation.

Order of Mr Marwat’s appointment reads that he will look after the company affairs as CEO temporarily as a stop gap arrangement till further orders.

Mr Marwat assumed the charge of his office on Monday and presented a shield to outgoing CEO Rasheed Aslam (pride of performance) and praised the services he had rendered for the Fesco.
