LAHORE, July 30: Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) has written to its Indian counterpart for organising a Lahore to New Delhi race in January 2004.

This was disclosed by PCF secretary Khawaja Idrees Haider on Wednesday.

He said that the letter was sent after both the federations had taken initial decisions adding that it was now upto the Indian government whether to grant permission or not.

He  said that the race would be held to promote peace in  the region.
