BAHAWALPUR, July 28: The Ahmadpur East ASP has ordered Uch Sharif police to arrest a landlord of Mauza Rasoolpur who raped a 16-year-old handicapped girl.

According to details, landlord Irshad summoned the daughter of a tenant to his outhouse where he raped her for three days.

Uch Sharif police refused to register a case against the landlord when the girl’s father lodged a complaint. He approached Ahmadpur East ASP Capt Asim (retired) who ordered arrest of Irshad after registration of a case against him.

DROWNS WIFE: A woman was drowned allegedly by her husband in Chenab near Mauza Shikrani in the suburbs of Uch Sharif.

Parents of Naziran Mai said their daughter had refused to transfer land in the name of her husband Meraj Ahmad.

Meraj drowned Naziran Mai in Chenab in the presence of their 18-year-old daughter Mansib.

Uch Sharif police refused to take any action against Meraj. Naziran’s parents recovered the body from the river with the help of area people.
