KARACHI: The All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), during its annual elections here on Thursday, elected Sarmad Ali its president and Umer Mujib Shami secretary general for the year 2017-18.
Other elected office-bearers are: Kazi Asad Abid (senior vice president), Mehtab Khan (vice president), S.M. Munir Jilani (joint secretary) and Waseem Ahmed (finance secretary).
The annual meeting of the APNS General Council chaired by Mr Ali unanimously approved the report of the executive committee for the preceding year and annual accounts of the society.
